| “What would we do without him, Pippin?” Pippin thought for a moment before shrugging. “Starve, I suppose.” Oh my, that is SO Pippin. I enjoyed this story a lot. Dear Frodo being so unaccustomed to caring for children and yet trying his best. And the stars, of course they were too much for him. I'm glad he came to believe in them in your late story. Too bad Gandalf left so soon. That's the problem with him. He always does that. Little Frodo already had to make this experience as well in my German story. Well done, dear! Author Reply: Heehee. I'm glad you thought that was so Pippin...I thought he would say something like that! Thanks again for reading this, my dear. I loved showing Frodo as the caregiver for a change, and showing how well he took care of Pippin. Of course he wasn't used to it but he really did his best. And I'm also glad he came to believe in the stars. I'm sure that after hearing how many other people saw them, he had no choice really :) When I wrote this I was thinking about that time when Gandalf visited Frodo every now and again but hardly ever stayed for long (I guess he didn't need the giant bathtub, huh? ;) ). He stays just long enough to help but once he sees that Pippin is better he knows that Frodo should be the one to bring Pippin back to full health :) Thank you SO much! :D | |

| What a super-sweet story! I love sniffly-but-hungry Pippin, and shy-but-friendly Sam. And sweet Frodo! And gentle Gandalf! Wonderful. I enjoyed every bit of this. (If you ever get an urge to write an epilogue, where this story is told on the Quest somewhere and the others listen in, I certainly wouldn't mind reading it!) :) Author Reply: Shirebound strikes again, springing plotbunnies on unsuspecting writers!
