| Oh yay! I remember reading this story at ff.net. I haven't seen it in ages. Have you been updating and I've just been missing it? I can't even remember where I was. I'll just start here and go back if I need to. I was struck by the line about how Arwen missed being in contact with the earth when she was on a ship. That seems right to me when you're talking about Elves with their connection to Arda. Now this is the story I remember. The one in which details of daily life add up to a wonderful rich picture. So Aragorn find the weather cool and stays up sitting on the terrace. Luthea reads far into the night (to learn about what's "there") and she and her father find a moment together. I suppose these children of Gondor have rarely seen snow. Or does it snow in Gondor? I'm not sure. Ah, I can see Arwen winkling information out of Mirlinde. So, my dear, do you have any *special* friends here??? Author Reply: I posted this fic up here a few months ago, but it's been too long since my last update! All the chapters are here though. :) The kids have seen snow before (in chapter 7 Mirra and Luthea went out shopping, I think) but of course it's different in Rivendell. *g* Thank you for your review! :) | |
