Hello Obelia (Medusa), These chapters were very good and quite sad. It was nice to see Frodo reunited with Merry & Pippin - and very sweet that he remembered Poppy - but how sad that Branddy Hall is otherwise filled with narrow-minded hobbits who like nothing better than to gossip at the expense of civility and common decency. Poor Frodo having to deal with such unpleasant people and painful reminders of his parents' demise. I hope he finds something to cheer himself up soon! On to the next 5 chapters. Maaureen :)

Gus isn't exactly an ideal father, apparently. And Frodo's been caught!

At least Frodo is willing to accept the consequences of his actions. Poor Frodo! He needs a hug right now! Thank you for the way you portray his inner tumoil. You are so good at that that I almost want to cry. Please uodate soon. I don't know how long I can stand to be without knowing what's going to happen next! Author Reply: Ah, if only Frodo were here right now, I'm sure we would all be happy to hug him!

Oh dear, poor Frodo! All of his anger being released into something he knew was wrong, and now he is caught! I hope he is able to get off without causing too much trouble! It seems perhaps Bolo and Frodo have more in common than they thought? I am looking forward to finding out what is going to happen next and how Bilbo will respond to all of this! Thank you! Author Reply: Well, he did get off pretty easy, at least. :) Thanks for reviewing!

Oh gosh, I don't think Buckland agrees with Frodo anymore. I want to bundle him back home to Hobbiton where he belongs! Don't you touch him, Farmer Maggot. And that goes for your little dogs, too. :) Author Reply: Farmer Maggot and his little dogs. Why does that image make me want to giggle? :P

Oh, Obelia, how can you put our hero into this incredible cliffhanger moment and then LEAVE us there?!! Evil, evil jellyfish, please update soon! I am just loving this story. It gets better all the time. I love Poppy and Bilbo, and now I think that even Bolo himself is going to become a friend of mine -- it's nice to revisit him as a more complex, sympathetic character. I can't imagine how you are going to wrap up all these threads. And poor Frodo -- standing there with red-faced farmer Maggot -- will you please include some of your own special, delicious Bilbo-Frodo h/c to pay us back for enduring all this suspense? You are going to have to post the next chapter soon or I will come out there and wring the story from you in person. So please have mercy -- back to the keyboard with you, now -- thanks for sharing your awesome imaginative vision with the rest of us ME dwellers. And please reread my sentences about updating soon. Author Reply: It seems you've been influencing me! I've been updating every 2-3 weeks the last few chapters. My normal rate when school is on is ever 1-2 months! So good job on the threats and nagging, Esamen. ;P

Oh, poor Frodo. This trip to Buckland has not been at all easy for him. And now he's in for it with Farmer Maggot. But I'm proud of him for standing still and facing his punishment like a gentlehobbit. As always, I'm looking forward to more of this. :) Author Reply: Yes, poor Frodo. I shall have to reward him with some fun stuff once he gets back to Hobbiton. :)
