This was a very interesting piece, which I'm rather glad I stumbled upon! I shall have to read further into your work, since even this small glimpse has intrigued me quite some bit about the OCs, and the social tensions between the classes and lineages that you've set up... Thank you for sharing this! SilverMoonLady Author Reply: Thank you. Trying to figure out more about an imaginary society has always been a hobby of mine. It's a bit like detective work. :)

Ah, Soledad - I very much like your heroic and classy young Boromir! This is the Boromir of the books, I think - noble and proud. He would not allow such a slight to a friend - and how wonderful to think such traits were present in his youth. To stand up to an older child for a slur against another shows the making of a ruler's son. Author Reply: Yes, it's definitely book-Boromir. I'm glad you liked him as a child. :)

What a nice glimpse of Boromir. You can see the man he will become some day in his strength and loyalty and sense of justice.

Thank you for this insightful story. It's not very often we get Boromir tales that aren't about coming back from the dead, or slash, or traveling with the fellowship (not that I have anything against those). I quite enjoy stories of the Hurin brothers in their youth, so this is refreshing and I sincerely hope to see more of this. Your imagery is well-realized, your characters, as well. Author Reply: Thank you. If the muse cooperates, I'll try to give you more of young Boromir.
