It's been a while since I read this story. Save for the fact both Merry and Pippin died in Minas Tirith and their tombs eventually were laid by Aragorn's after his own death, not too off canon. However, to see Legolas now in terms of being a young elfling still seems jarring in one who was several millenia old when he was in the Fellowship. But an interesting premise.

Sad sad sad. Why did you have to make me go and cry like that! AHHHHHHH! You have a way with words that I could only dream of. I love how you dont seem to make the elves so supreme. Like they dont have feelings. It really adds a sweet touch to the fic. Wopt

Great story but surely Legolas wouldn't be the last of the fellowship as gandalf would have been in Valinor as well. Author Reply: lol.. That is very true. Will talk about it more in chapter 4.

This is very haunting. I really felt it. This is great. I'm almost scared to read more, but can't wait to. You will write more? Author Reply: :-) yeah it's not a happy story by a long shot. Yes I will write more, but you might have to wait a bit... Life tends to get in the way and I am trying to write an original fic so my time is a little more messed with there. ;-) But I do plan to finish. Thanks for reading!

This is a very touching story. You did a great job portraying Legolas's increasing sense of loss growing over the years. I do think you might want to label this as an AU fic though, since there are several important inaccuracies in this story. The biggest of these is about the Halls of Mandos. You may not realize this, but mortal men do not go to the Halls when they die. The Halls of Mandos are set out as a waiting place specifically for Elves, though Dwarves do go there too, to a separate area prepared for them. The eventual fate of men was concealed from the Elves, and no one really knows specifically where hobbits end up either, but Elves that have gone to and returned from Mandos likely didn't see any mortals there. The other inconsistancy with Tolkien's books is the fate of Merry and Pippin. Both were in Minas Tirith when they died, and they were laid to rest in the House of the Kings (the same place where Denethor tried to fry Faramir). When Aragorn finally died, the bodies of Merry and Pippin were moved to lie beside the King. Again, I think you have a great story here...just thought I'd point those things out. Keep up the great work! Author Reply: (cough) Thanks... I think there are very few stories out there that cannot be labeled as an AU. Mine is certainly no exception. Thank you for the information though. I knew about Merry and Pippin and purposely changed it. It gives it more a sentimental feeling over all. I'm glad you like the story though!

This must have been a very sad time for Legolas. Gimli was granted such grace to be allowed to sail west with him and then he died anyway. As you say, that was the last of the Fellowship. How hard! Author Reply: Yes, this isn't a happy story. But as someone very 'kindly' pointed out to me, there still is Gandalf. But because of that 'kind' review, I will write something in chapter 4 about it:-) Thanks for reading! Your support is very encouraging.
