Wow, that was intense. I am glad that Tamir and Faramir were not seriously harmed and that Tamir could identify their attacker. But I fear that Aragorn's time is running out and they better find him soon. Rest assured that I'll be biting my nails until the next chapter is posted ;-) fliewatuet Author Reply: Thanks, My fingers have been flashing over the keys so that your poor nails won't have to suffer for too long!

Poor Faramir - he just seems to be at the centre of so much agony. Perhaps, should he survive, Aragorn will cotton on and send him off to be a loyal steward somewhere VERY FAR AWAY, where his talent for disaster could lead others into trouble. (Only kidding.) So now Faramir knows about the kinglet inside before Aragorn does - is that treason? At least it gives him some motivation for continuing in the event that Elessar doesn't turn up. I don't blame Darin for not wanting to get involved in anything that might lead to further discipline - they play for keeps in the Gondorian army, but Tamir was rather determined. Poor Faramir again - the flogging was bad enough, but now he is having to steel himself to deal with torture. Not his cup of tea at all - I just hope it's effective, as that can be the only justification to help him live with it. He's just too sensitive to be a Fourth Age Man. Author Reply: He may be sensitive but he has a core of steel...he does what has to be done and he does have a great support network.
