This is such a sweet story. I felt so sorry for little Farry. You bring him to life beautifully, with all the innocence and sweetness of spirit of little hobbits. I look forward to seeing where you are going with this. Author Reply: Thank you for your comments, Budgielover! I'm so glad you like my Farry - I do enjoy writing him. I see him as being very much his father's son, only more serious and, inexplicably, a bit wiser. :) The next part is half written, so I hope to post it fairly soon.

Even though I've read this before I happened upon it again tonight and couldn't help re-reading. It is such a sweet father/son moment and your Pippin as Da is just the cat's pajamas! I love, love, love it, and the line "ten times more daft" made me smile this time just as much as it did the first time I read it. Wonderful story! Made me smile all over! Author Reply: Oh, thank you so much! It makes me so happy that you enjoyed it - especially that you like my Pippin as Da, who I angsted over slightly, wondering if he was Pippinish enough. :) I'll try and get the next chapter written soon! *hugs* :)

It's not easy being the son of a hero. It's probably even more difficult being the small young son of a tall hero. And kids of all kinds are terribly good at picking up people's little frailties and holding them up for all to jeer at. I like Pippin's 'secret' thinking place - that's one illusion gone! Author Reply: It's not easy, but at least Faramir's tall hero dad is one that he can talk to about these sorts of things. Hopefully he'll have some good advice too :) Thank you for your comments!
