| Well, Frodo did say that he would rather keep his arm. Oh, that was so hard for everyone, especially Sam. But it's over now, and they can all shower some much needed TLC on Frodo! Author Reply: This was a pretty graphic chapter, not for the faint hearted. I promise tons of TLC is coming up for the poor boy. I would never torture my favorite hobbit and then leave him hanging or God forbid, kill him off....not my style. tree | |

| Well, once again, I adored Blossom! The part where she tells Sam her concoctions will put "hair on his chest" was wonderfully funny! But poor, poor Frodo! I'm a fluffy angst person so this chapter was rather too graphic for me, but well written non the less. Author Reply: Thanks so much for your review!! | Tree, this is just one of your "trademark" chapters... absolutely riveting and delicious with Frodo-angst. I'm so sorry I've been behind in reviewing---real-life in the form of two very ill parents intervenes quite a lot, and I'm always pressed for time. But know that I read this and wow, I don't think I've ever read of Frodo in such pain. But it was so very well done and believable... and I LOVED the seizure and vomiting and such... (btw, it's "debriding") and most of all, Aragorn bundling Frodo and holding him as the linens were changed. :) Very, very nice... and I hope your RL stresses clear up very soon and get much, much better for you. | Ew! I'm never gonna let anything get infected ever again! :( This is it for Frodo, right? He just needs to rest and recover now, right? RIGHT?!? (I think I'm going to need a little TLC after this chapter....) Author Reply: Well, sure what the heck. | Wow! I should have been wincing and jumping throughout this chapter, but I think Blossom's words to Sam kept me calm, as well. As always, your dialogue is fantastic. I wish I wrote Sam's "voice" as well as you do! Author Reply: Thanks so much. I posted it on FrodoHealers but doubt you will see it. I'm glad you liked the dialogue and Blossom's interaction with Sam. I hoped it would soften the blow of the actual surgery a bit. Love to you and thanks again for reviewing. tree | |
