Another nice gap filler. Very gentle. Author Reply: Thanks. Gentle is what I was going for here, just a quiet little moment between cousins. :)

My dear this was so sweet and poignant it almost made me cry thinking of how sad Frodo must have been. Merry was portrayed so tenderly and with genuine caring towards his cousin. Thanks so much for sharing this little fic with us. tree Author Reply: Thanks for reading, I'm glad you liked the story. This must have been a very hard time for Frodo, but Merry isn't going to let him go through it alone. He knows how difficult it will be for Frodo and has immediately set himself the task of looking after his poor, sad cousin.

Very nicely done, showing Merry's concern for Frodo, and his determination to help and protect him. I like that you show how young he is, and yet takes responsibility so seriously. Author Reply: Thank you. Merry realizes almost immediately that Frodo is going to need some looking after and takes that responsibility very seriously, even though he is a very young hobbit still.

Loved Merry's concern in this one. He was still quite young at this point but he still wanted to be the one to look out for Frodo. Alwasy the protector in the group, that Merry. Great story! Author Reply: Merry has such an overgrown sense of responsibility, sometimes, but someone needs to look out for Frodo now that Bilbo's gone, and Merry has appointed himself the task. Thanks for reading, I'm glad you liked the story.
