Hooray for the Took in the Bolger, and the work at finding out what is up.

Hoorah! Another chapter! Fascinating bit of history interwoven with the intrigue. Very nice descriptions, pulling the reader into the scene. Good use of characters: I am enjoying Freddy's growing into the rebel leader he was said to become. So glad you updated! Oh, and loved this bit of irony: "water bottles and blankets they had gathered from the Ruffians"

Most awesome!!!! I absolutely LOVE the history you've written for Scarry and the Quarry!! I felt like Tolkien himself rose from the dead and wrote that bit for you. ;-) Lovely, Pearl! And the plot of the townsfolk having ale and such...just like you to twist and turn the plot--leaving me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails for the next update! Wonderful--thanks for sharing! That Fredegar's a shrewd one -- much more to him than meets the eye, or anyone ever imagined. And "useless as Shire Gold" -- what a wonderful saying.

Love Freddy in this. He is so in charge and anxious to find out more about everything. He and Ron and doing a good job of gaining information. Such an interesting story. I am really enjoying this one.
