| Re your footnote to Chapter 13, Oropher, his family and people left Doriath as refugees and survivors of the raid by the kin-slayers. They found sanctuary in The Greenwood and the Silvan accepted Oropher as leader. They didn't 'fall out' with the Lorien elves, who had their own rulers - Amdir followed by his son, Amroth. Celeborn and Galadriel only took over as rulers of Lothlorien after the deaths of Amdir and Amroth. | |
