| I love the beauty with which Elves invest their possessions, even things like weapons. I suppose if you have endless time, it's worth paying such attention to beauty. "Gundor looked at the younger man with mixed pity and exasperation. Hathil was a good man, and would grow to be a better one, but had not seen the shadow take hold in another." These are very nice lines. And so is this one: "The stranger smiled again, and his face lit; joy seemed to dwell there, as if only waiting for brief clouds to pass so that it might shine forth again." | |
