| We don't get enough stories about Faramir's relations with his Elven neighbors - this is a fine introduction, a window on Faramir's reaction when the topic was first first brought up to him. I'm envisioning Legolas trotting up to Faramir's tent (before the fair white house was built)atop Emyn Arnen to ask to borrow a cup of sugar... Author Reply: Thank you for all the comments on these drabbles, Raksha. I'm glad you enjoyed them. I suppose it's a bit of a stretch to show Arwen asking for the right of Elves to settle in Ithilien, rather than Legolas -- but she's an easier character for me to write. And yes, Faramir's relations with his Elvish neighbours is a fascinating topic. I wonder how he & Legolas would settle disputes b/w their respective subjects? (Down, plotbunny!) | |
