| I'm trying to recall? Was Sam made aware of Aragorn's limitations during "All That Glisters"? Not that I can see that stopping him anyway...he'd always think maybe something new had come up in the intervening years... Author Reply: You're right, of course, he did have quite the heart-to-heart with Strider in that story. But you're also right that he never quite gave up on Pippin and never lost faith in Strider's healing ability. He'd experienced it himself, and seen it in action enough times, that he keeps hanging on to hope. Maybe he even thinks Arwen might have a jewel tucked away like the one she gave Frodo... In any event, he's not one to sit on his thumbs when there's some kind of action to be taken. ((hugs)) to you. | |
