LOL! Another well written story, though I felt a lot less 'satisfied' with this one. I couldn't quite buy Diamond just up and leaving him out of the blue after what she went through to get him back, and I was left wondered at Pip - after all the adventures and incredible things you had him doing, that he'd not give more of an effort to keep her with him? Ah well. To each their own and it was a lovely, well written story. We have precious few of those.

Tom!! They seperated!?!? NOOOOOOooooooooo!!! I thought that with Di going to Minas Tirith and all, that.. well.... that's true love, isn't it!?!?!? Say it ain't so, Tom! :( A beautiful story, except for the ending. ::wink:: I laughed, I cried... ok I mostly cried. I really really enjoyed this. Thank you for a wonderful journey. :::giggle::: now just change the ending. :D j/k (sorta) :)

Somehow, I think that now both of them are at peace with their lives. Faramir has enough of both of them to be a real interesting hobbit as he grows up. Just lovely and perfectly matching The Falcon's story-line. I am glad that you wrote this one.

What a wonderful companion piece to your other fic! I especially likeds this though, even more so than Pippin's tale, I think. it had a poignant ending, but I really do like it, as I've always imagined Pippin and Diamond's marriage to be unsuited and hard, just as you've portrayed it. But I just wanted to tell you one thing (though I'm sure you must know, and have just disregared it for somereason or another) is that Merry and Estella were not childless, in fact, they had one son at least, it says so in the appendix of Rotk. I think it says something to the measure of, 'Meriadoc and Pippin left the Shire to Gondor, and leaving their offices to their sons, were never again seen in the Shire. And I apologize if I seem snide, I don't mean to, just saying in case you didn't know ^_^. But other than that little snippet, I must say this was quite wonderful! Very good job! I like your style and very much enjoyed your other fic too, about Pippin lighting the Beacons. Again, this was delightful, and it gave much dimension to the Diamond of Long Cleeve that I've always imagined! Author Reply: Thanks for the review! There just didn't seem to be a place for the birth of Merry's son in this story, and since Tolkien didn't give a name and fandom hasn't come to a consensus on one, I decided to leave it out. After all, who's to say he's biologically Merry's son ... or more to the point, Estella's? ;-)
