| What would have happened had the Fellowship been formed under other circumstances? Or what if some character's roles had been switched with others? You have obviously thought about this and are portraying it wonderfully in your story. Merry finding the Palantir...a most interesting thought. One question, separate from the rest of my review. Is there going to be a creature anything like Ethan on your island. PLEASE don't let anyone get hanged especially not Merry or Pippin!!! Seeing that one Lost episode with Charlie's near death experience from hanging...I shudder to think about it. That was one of the most disturbing things I've ever watched! | |

| Shirebound... this is SO cool! I'm kinda glad I don't know about Lost, because I can't 'see' paralells or say, 'oh, look. Legolas is so and so or Boromir's acting just like whosey over there'. :D I do have a question, however. Why is it that MERRY found the Palintir and not Pip? Does Merry actually 'mirror' Dom's Lost persona?? Oh, and I'm rather glad it's not just like Lost.... don't they have a pregnant woman in their midst? :::giggles::: Boromir would have FITS dealing with THAT, I think! LOL!! Anyway, I'm loving this story. Thanks for writing it! And btw, I don't usually read TBC's because I want my whole story at once. But you've hooked me! :D | |

| I loved this chapter! It was wondeful to see the Fellowship come together in this strange setting. I liked how everybody went off to do their specific and character-suitable tasks. Aragorn's going to try to find some athelas to help Frodo, Legolas was going to try to get some info from the trees, Gimli was going to fashion himself an axe and look for game, while Merry and Pippin were going fishing to get some food for everybody. Now they've found the palantir, which adds another interesting thing to the mix. More soon please! | |
