| Leave it to Shirebound and her plotbunnies to produce truly brilliant stories! Of course, a talented writer opting to take on the challenge does help things rather a bit, does it not? =) I just love the description of the "Elvish wisdom" Sam discerns at the denouement of the piece... and how you depict Sam's dashed hopes upon discovering that the illnesses would indeed plague Frodo annually, and jsut... | Aww...Thank you for reccing this for me! I really wondered if there were fics that were centered around that scene of the Oct. 6th anniversary. And you did a lovely job of bringing that to life! Poor Frodo! *loves him* :-) *hugs* Author Reply: I love h/c around those two anniversaries... lots of "h" though lots of "c" as well could be written...so it's a very tough time fro Frodo but you can see his inner strength as well. | I can re-read this story over and over again, and I always get lost in it.
