| Miss Rockheaver! Poor Freddy! You would think Merry could have just done it himself rather than involve and innocent bystander in his anticts! lol, Frodo now knowing what was goind on as well then for this "lass" to be his cousin! That was splendid! Merry trying to figure out how he can blame Pippin! Splendid! Author Reply: Merry figured that it was safer for himself this way. I suspect he didn't plan to get caught even if Freddy did get found out. Looks like Merry didn't plan this very well. I did feel sorry for Frodo. He was going to have to convince folks that he didn't know anything about this. Thank you for reading! | |

| LMAO!!!!! Freddy in drag reminds me of the story when Pervinca sewed Pippin in a dress. Author Reply: I seem to be turning these hobbits into a shorter version of Monty Python, don't I? I have everyone dressing in drag. Thanks for reading and reviewing. Also, it is nice to hear that someone read "Fashion Statement" (Pip in the dress) and actually remembers it. Thanks! | |

| "Maybe there was a way to blame this entire thing on Pippin." LOL, that Merry is incorrible! No wait, both of them are. Too bad the bonnet fell, they almost got away with it. And putting Frodo on the spot like that, hehehe. Author Reply: Yes, poor Frodo wound up in the middle of it all and he didn't even realize it until it was almost too late. I imagine that Freddy repaid Merry at some point, after all, he was wearing a dress and bonnet in front of most of the town. | |

| Merry would make a good market trader - or one of those chaps who sells stuff from a suitcase on a street corner. With Pippin as the look-out. A right Del-Boy Trotter, to those as knows the reference. And just as successful, because he always gets caught! It's a wonder that Pippin manages to maintain his faith in his big cousin! Author Reply: Merry does have that "hey, wanna buy a watch?" thing going on in this one. This was not one of his better plans, but he did manage to get Freddy into a dress, so his powers of persuasion are still working for him. Thanks for reading! | |
