That was a lovely look at Pippin coming to terms with his responsibilities as Thain--- wonderful! Author Reply: Thank you! I have always imagined it would be hard for Pippin to come to terms with his responsibility -- he is not the type that I would picture being able to except such a burden (as I think he would see it). Though, it is good that he has Merry there to help him realize that is it not so much of a burden, as long as he doesn't let it weigh too heavily on him. And also that Pippin should not be hesistant to think himself so weak in the face of holding something like an office -- he is intelligent and steadfast (something others see in him, but that he has yet to see in himself). thank you for reading! :)

Nice... Pippin was depressed and didn't want to accept his responsibility as Thaine...merry appears and talks on how he isn't so much like his father as to be ruled like he was...He is different, and would be a good leader... He makes pipin see the good in this, and you can see pippin accept this...But with tresponsibility he still has a playful side... Merry vain...Really... Author Reply: I am very glad you liked this ^_^ I just *adore* the reviews I get from you. They make me laugh (in a good way) as they are always stream-of-conscious, hehe! Thank you for taking the time to read this. I have always felt that Pippin would be reluctant to accept his position as Thain, for many reasons, only one of them being the poor relationship with his father I have given him. Good thing his has good ole Mer there to show him some sense when he needs it. And Merry really is quite vain, indeed... he ought to get over that! ;)

Just lovely. I like Merry's reasoning and the fact that neither cousin is so serious and so grown up that they cannot roll down the hill. I like the fact that they still support one another and that they know each other so very well. Author Reply: Thank you! I'm am so glad you enjoyed this.. yes, I've always felt too that all through their lives [no matter how dull and mature they get ;) ] that Merry and Pippin will always be tweens at heart.

A very few problems with wording, but overall an excellent story. Loved it. Author Reply: Thank you very much for reading and commenting, I am enjoying your story immensely as well. 'The King's Commission' is an incredible piece of work. ^_^ You have a wonderful way with words. Author Reply: Thank you also for pointing out that I had a few problems with my wording, I looked back over it and tried to fix the things I saw I missed the first time. I am always one to miss my mistakes, and then be too lazy to change them when I find them afterwards ;)
