This is very good! You have captured the feelings of Feanor and Finwe very well. Very well done! |

What a wonderful story! I really liked it. All of Feanor's reactions were completely natural, and poor Finwe was so incredibly understanding. I also liked the part with Nerdanel and Mahtan. This was magnificent, and extremely well-written. Great job!
P.S. - Thank you for reviewing "Requiem of Sorrow"! |

You really captured the young Feanor well -- from his attempts at reaching the top of the wall (I've watched my sons doing similar things) to the anger and anguish he felt at his parents, and all in a single chapter. Well done! |

This was wonderful, Pony. You do have a gift for bringing these Silm characters alive. I've always liked the line in the Silm about how the Valar mourned as much for the marring of Feanor as they did for the two trees. I really feel for him here. |

Very well done, French Pony! I really like your First Age /pre First Age stuff. This type of family situation is hard for us in the modern day when it is perfectly commonplace. Imagine the affect it would have on Feanor to be the only elf to have ever experienced your father's remarriage. That would definitely have an impact. Finwe did seem to try to make Feanor understand but some things just aren't comprehensible. You did a good job with Feanor. I particularly liked: Grimly, he prepared himself to starve. SO in character! Thanks for a glimpse at young Feanor.

A nicely woven tale of childhood angst. It is almost enough to make me feel badly for Feanor. |
