So enjoyed reading this dual story. I love how you bring life to characters that are little more than footnotes in the appendices. I hope this one is on the to be finished WIP list.

This doesn't seem done at all-rather left off in the middle of things on both sides of the story. Are you planning to continue at some point? Author Reply: Sorry for the very late (understatement) reply. I have begun on the WIPs here at SoA and hope to finish them, after being away from fanfic for several years. Sometimes life happens. Thanks for your inquiry, and taking time to leave feedback.

I have spent my afternoon, whilst cold wind whistles outside and rain lashes my windows, enjoying this story from the opening chapter to this furthest point. I am enjoying so much both tales, and their intertwining, and now I can only sit and hope for more when you are able. Author Reply: How encouraging to hear! I'm working on the next "Thorn" chapter, so that I can post the finished "Thain" chapter that comes after. I appreciate your stopping by and taking the time to leave a good word. Thanks! Author Reply: Yikes! I just realised that this review is from a year ago, and I went a year between updates. Sorry to make you wait so long... but updates are now being posted at a rate of once a week, roughly, so if you haven't lost interest, I just thought I'd let you know the tale is continuing (hopefully all the way to the end at the same rate).

I'll try to remain patient, but this is my favorite of all your stories, and I wish I could nominate it for an MEFA. I think it is marvelous! Author Reply: Thanks! We haven't abandoned the story, we're just re-working. Painfully. But you can nominate for an MEFA if you like. They have a WIP category. (And who knows, if I manage to re-write the lost chapters, it might be finished in time to be nominated again as a finished work next year. Wouldn't *that* be a kick?)
