| Oh, I'm glad you explained "farmers checkers"! I was wondering... So Merry is feeling better; that's a relief! But itchy, poor lad. It sounds as if Pippin is just the right tonic, neither encouraging Merry to do more than he ought, nor fussing at him because he's being so quiet, but letting him rest when he needs rest and being satisfied with quiet diversions. Looking forward to more! Author Reply: I have to thank Mel for explaining that the game is called tic tac toe in English. At first I had a long description of it in the story as Marigold din`t know what I was talking about either, but when Mel gave me the right name I recognised it and thought others would too, but it was fun to stick to mhy own translation, bringing something new into the fandom, lol. I think Pip is too scared to do anything else than what his instincts tell him really, so that is why he is behaving so good. Thanks! | |

I love how you show the relationship betwee Merry and pippin.You can see Pippin is so concerned,and him so young he is afraid especialyy since the healer comes in...Poor Merry,so sick(Reminds me of chickenpox)Pippin and Merry playing a game of farmers checkers, a very nice story...Please continue... | |

| Still so very sweet; I love how grown-up Pippin is behaving, in contrast to his childish thoughts and worries. I'm glad Merry was able to wake up and feel a bit better--poor lad won't be up to much for while, I suspect, but a few games in bed, and maybe some stories. Whee! Frodo will be coming, and I will get to see my favorite thing: all three cousins together. Author Reply: Yes, Merry won't be up to much yet and Frodo is coming. | |
