| What an interesting Denethor. The idea of him being in love with Minas Tirith is wonderful. It fits with so many of the ways in which we know he went wrong, although he's not an evil man. Your Finduilas is fascinating too. I like the contrast you're drawing between life in Minas Tirith and Dol Amroth. He must have seemed like a challenge to her. It has always been my reading of the text that Denethor values and cherishes his homeland above all else, and I wanted to show this in the fic. Your Finduilas is fascinating too. Well, I think that, for Denethor to be in love with her (as is stated in the canon), she's rather have to be! I'm so glad people like her characterisation in the story... He must have seemed like a challenge to her. The passing allusions to Thorongil are also well done.
