I love it! The writing wonderfully reflects the mood of the story. The words themselves give the feeling that Enadar is awakening to the world around him. I love the fact that his anchor to reality is Ada. Beautifully written. You've also captured Thranduil's somewhat unbending and unforgiving nature, but through all of that you can still sense his deep love of his son! Wonderful! More please! :-)) MM

OK you have got me hooked on this heart breaking story. I know the JRR hinted uon the torture of the elves and indeed upon many other races that were held prisoner..but this is just so emotional. Eokat

Wow! What a great story! I just love all the angst. Sounds like poor Enadar is going to have long, painful recovery. I also can't imagine what poor Thranduil is going to be going through when he is not able to be with his son because of his duties as king. Finally, it's going to be VERY interesting to see how Legolas reacts to the brother he never knew he had. I am really enjoying this and can't wait for the next chapter. Author Reply: I never said Legolas didn't know he had a brother. He just thought that said brother had fallen in the Battle upon Dagorlad, you know. :) I'm very happy that you like my wee little story. I never actually planned to write something like this. But plotcritters bit when and where they want. Even during a bus ride. *g*

I love this story. It is not going to be easy for Thranduil to help his son through this - and he has Lasgalen to run at a very tricky time, too. I am glad he will take some advice from Elrond, at least. (Half starved sounds as if it would be an over-statement. This is going to get much harder before it gets better.)

That's a wonderful story, which I am glad I discovered. The characters are wonderfully described and your Thranduil is like the ones I like to read about. Thanks for such a nice writing, Cas Author Reply: Thank you. I'm an avid fan of the Elvenking and try to do him right. Valar know, he gets enough unjust treatment, that poor Elf.

I normally don't read too many elf-stories; but this one has caught my eye and kept it. Great to see a convincing story of Thranduil as a fiercely devoted father; not that JRRT ever said he wouldn't be, but some fanfiction writers assume otherwise. I agree with Thranduil - I wouldn't want Artanis poking around in my head either!

Thranduil is a very brave Elf to undertake Enadar's psychological healing without help, but I can't say I blame him. Galadriel might do wonders, but there is something about outside shrinks that just gives one the shivers. If all the family gathers together and really works at it, I'll bet they could do wonders with Endadar. No son of mine shall ever be poked in their minds by Artanis. Too late for that, Thranduil. Enadar also is a brave and loving Elf to risk leaving his safe place for this stranger called Ada.

Very beautiful chapter. This is getting more and more thrilling to me. Now he recognizes his ada! That is wonderful for Thranduil. Has this poor prince no mother??? Thanks for the update.

Wow, what a moment for Thranduil. I found his distrust of Galadriel to be interesting. It's understandable, of course. But I wonder if he'd persist in that if he thought his son needed her. I suppose the point is that he doesn't think that; he thinks her intrusion would be harmful.
