| This is so enjoyable. You certainly make one see that there might have been another reason why, when the Istari came to Middle-earth, that they took on the shape of wise *old* men. With this long ago experience in learning how to have genuine affection for individuals, you also show why Gandalf is so endearing to his friends. |

| I don't think I can stand to see Olorin get his heart broken! His self-consciousness and childlike anticipation before showing himself to Erimien were sweet, but his deflation and confusion as she brushed him off and walked away made me groan with sympathy. I suppose that despite his agelessness and wisdom, he really is a kid with his first crush. The camaraderie between Gandalf and Elrond is very nicely done. I don't think I've ever seen such a warm and insightful look at Gandalf as a person before, and this story is especially intriguing because you're giving us a peek at the primeval and untarnished being that became the Gandalf we know. It's captivating to watch him learn about attraction and emotion. |

| Poor Gandalf! That struck me as very dear. Seeing him worrying about his physical form and then wondering how he'd explain who he was and then being completely speechless when he finally gets a chance to speak to her. I suppose we whould all be happy to see that Maia don't do any better than the rest of us. :) I am really enjoying 'young' inexperienced Gandalf. |

| Gandalf doesn't seem to quite have this courting thing down. Or maybe he's not even doing that. Maybe he doesn't yet know himself what he feels. |
