| Made me cry. As all of your poems...vivid, real images both for the senses and the heart. So many writers dwell on the possible relationship of Eowyn and Aragorn, and make it sound as though they either hated each other forever, hoaunted poor Faramir with ghosts of might-have-beens, Or were chilly polite ever after. From the books, I would like to believe that Eowyn and Faramir's love could have grown exactly as you describe it. Thank You! Author Reply: Wow, thanks! I'm thrilled. Yes, I've been a bit dissatisfied with the way some writers depict Eowyn as some lovelorn maiden pining her life away over The Man That Got Away and "settling for" the next best thing that comes along. I'm of the view that she and Faramir were meant for each other and Aragorn was just a bump she hit along the way, knocking her flat on her back for a while but not permanently, by any means, and that she merely grew stronger in the broken places. It's my guess that they lived happily ever after and she and Aragorn remained good friends, sappy optimist that I am;);) blessings & cheer Armariel~~~{~@ | |

| Oh, how beautiful a look at the happiness at last come to Eowyn. Author Reply: Thanks, I thought it was high time somebody wrote a happy poem about her. Every other one I've read about her was so depressing....And this one practically wrote itself! *tells herself Faramir had nothing whatsoever to do with that* :D:D:D | |

| This is a wonderful collection. I am not a great one for poetry, but even so it's obvious. There is a terse and simple eloquence in all your poems which i love b/c it's so dramatic - though several have elaborate metaphors (Aragorn, upon meeting Arwen), they are turned out skillfully and naturally. It reminds me a little at times of T.S. Eliot, though i suppose that's because I've been reading too much of Eliot these past few days. Breathtaking work, esp. liked this one b/c im a F&E nut.
