Good job on the flashback to Theodred's teaching little Eowyn to fight. It felt very real. And the ending caught Eowyn's desolation very well; she's the only one left, left behind with a failing King in a dark, doom-ridden Hall. Brrr! Where's Beowulf when you need him? I can see why Aragorn is going to really seem like the answer to her prayers and the brightest Knight-In-Shining-Armor a sorrowful young woman could imagine - no way will she see the man behind the hero. Author Reply: I couldn't resist the flashback... poor Theodred got completely shafted in LotR. (I think I've been around Galenmir too long in Fandom.) >>I can see why Aragorn is going to really seem like the answer to her prayers and the brightest Knight-In-Shining-Armor a sorrowful young woman could imagine... Good. That means the setup is working. :D Just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your faithful, well-thought out reviews. :) | |
