| Like your one chapter stories, this is also a wonderful story and I'm looking forward to more. I loved chapter 2 when Theodred was teaching Eowyn how to fight and then her fight with Eomer. Nicely done! The utter despair that Eowyn must have felt there. I've always felt bad for her, not just because of all of the stuff she went through with Grima and dealing with the king and feeling forced then to go with to the battle, etc. But also because of her total aloneness as a woman in a totally male dominated society like that. Brothers and cousins are great, but not having a mother or sisters would be so difficult. Anyway, great 3 chapters here at the start and I'm looking forward to more! Author Reply: I have to admit that I tend to think of Eowyn as a bit more of a tomboy... she'd have to be, growing up in such a male-dominated society. And I wouldn't know about the sisters, since I don't have any, but I do think it would be difficult for her to grow up without much of any female influence. I'm glad you liked the fight, it was fun to write. And I'll try to get some more up soon! Thanks! | |
