I love this, Songspinner! I like the 'brothership' you've brought out in this foursome. I especially like the interaction between Legolas and Eomer; it's not something you usually see. I can't wait for the last chapter! :)

Meckinock mentioned this story to me and suggested I read it. I'm glad she did. I've truly enjoyed it. You've done a wonderful job of capturing the emotions, exhaustion, sorrow, and the cautious hope of this tale. Your characterizations are full and rich--mature people doing an incredibly hard job while lending strength to one another when so little seemed to be left. I'm looking forward to your next and final(?) chapter. Beautifully done, Songspinner. Karen Author Reply: Many thanks! What wonderful compliments...I'm so glad that the characterizations were full enough, and that the emotions came through so clearly. Next bit coming soon, at least as soon as I finish grading these papers... :) -Laura

I am really enjoying this story so far. Your characters are very real and likable and are seen from an angle that is very refreshing. Looking forward to more of this story. Author Reply: Thank you! I'm relieved to hear that the characters seem real - that's always one of my biggest worries. The books contain so many hints about the friendships that grew between these characters, and I just thought it would be a challenge to write some of those moments that led to that. -Laura

love love it...soo rocks!:D love the interaction wish they showed more of that in the movies...as always a awesome chappy..update soon:D Faith, the slightly obssessed fangirl Author Reply: Giggle...I have to stop reading your reviews during my lunch break. One of my 11 year old students came in to see why I was cracking up...Thank you! Yeah, I wish there was more of that in the films; Tolkien said so many little things about the friendships between Aragorn and Eomer and Legolas that developed after the War. It's fun to picture how those developed. -Laura
