Reunion in Minas Tirith  by Baggins Babe 7 Review(s)
AntaneReviewed Chapter: 5 on 10/26/2007
Lovely Mr. Baggins, indeed. :) What a joy for him to be with his loved ones and they with him, what a wonderful, wonderful gift - and a gift and joy to us too. Must be nice to be all kissed out and all those bairns curled with you, surrounding you with such love. Nice royal intervention too.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

This is a great discovery, for which I have to thank Shirebound for pointing me in the right direction.

I was just going to review at the end of the story, but this chapter had me laughing so hard, I had to express my appreciation.

I can see all the characters acting the way you have them, not too far off the books.

Author Reply: I'm delighted that you have discovered this universe and that you're enjoying it. Hope you have since discovered all the others - lots of hobbity fun, laughter, Merry and Pippin nonsense and who know what else. 'Buckland Celebration' is another one, and my current long story 'Birthday Surprises' is shaping up nicely.

Thank you for reviewing. I love it when I find a previously undiscovered author.

"No need for such modesty. Who do you think sponged you down when you were ill? Stop fussing! I'm averting my eyes."

"Pity," said Merry. "It's very entertaining watching someone try to protect their modesty with a bar of soap!"

Oh my!! That had me hooting w/laughter!! Great update and I loved Aragorn's Proclaimation. Little did he know he was setting the Gamgee's up w/food for life...LOL!!

Lovely update. Looking forward to the next installment. :o)

Author Reply: Well, I suppose hobbits equate everything with food so that is probably how they would convey their feelings. Hope to have the next installment up later.

Very cute. Poor Frodo--and enjoy the King's Intervention here.

Author Reply: I thought Aragorn would be so frustrated, down there in Gondor and unable to do anything, until he had a bright idea. Glad you enjoyed it.

Oh, that chapter was wonderful! I totally agree to everything Dreamflower said before, but what really made me laugh was this line:
"I think I know who to ask!" - "Us?" Pippin squeaked. "Why would you think we'd know anything?" That was perfect! I'm still giggling, can't stop it.
It's really a relief after those dark moments, that Frodo is himself again.
Thank you for your story!

Author Reply: Merry and Pip are such fun to write - they almost write themselves. Thought we needed some light relief, even if I did have to hoover the fluff out of my keyboard as a result! :-))

What a wonderful story you're crafting. So full of love and healing and deep perceptions. Passages like this are quite amazing:

"You have to forgive yourself, dear boy. Others have forgiven you because there is really nothing to forgive. Each of us can only do our best and hope it is enough. You did more than your best, and it was more than enough. Let it go now." He sighed gently and relaxed, slipping slowly towards sleep. He remembered his mother's voice telling him how proud she was and he knew he was deeply loved by his parents and would see them again one day. He had often wondered where hobbits went when they died and now he knew beyond any doubt that Iluvatar, who sang the world into creation, had ensured a place for them. He had been given a glimpse of something very special and he knew he must accept it as a gift from the Valar.

Author Reply: I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. I wanted Frodo to feel he was loved and that healing was possible.

I have been sitting here reading this chapter with a grin on my face the whole way through, and now my jaw hurts, LOL!
I am one of those people who like the "c" part of h/c better than the "h". This is so lovely, from the way they all fuss over Frodo, to his embarassment in the bath. ("Why didn't you just put a bathtub out in the Party Field and invite the whole of Hobbiton?!")
The interaction with the children made me sniffle.
And I loved the account of Yule, and Pippin kissing everyone in the room including the cat.
And the whole idea of Aragorn sending a rather stern proclamation to the Shire! I could just imagine that!
This story just makes me warm all over!

Author Reply: I've been thinking of you reading, with a grin on your face. So pleased you can see Aragorn sending a stern letter to the Shire. I couldn't resist it! :-))
