| So far I'm enjoying this AU. Is there a something that comes before it, or have you intentionally referred to things (like Rufus the cat & Rosie's tea towel) that are not explained or given background? And that's not a criticism, if you have - done sparingly, and in a way that doesn't end up with throughly confused readers (which I think you've accomplished), I actually like it, think it makes things feel more real. One thing I feel I must point out, just because it gave me such a jolt - most fanfic writers use "naneth" to mean "mother," not "grandmother." From the rest of the story it's clear that you know Galadriel is Arwen's grandmother, but due to the typical usage of the word it seems like Arwen is referring to Galadriel as mother. I have no idea what's right, I know very litle of either elvish language, but it might confuse some people. Oh, and I love your use of the word "piffle" in an earlier chapter - I thought only my grandmother said piffle! It's such a nice, old-fashioned sounding word for hobbits to use. Author Reply: Glad you're enjoying this story. Rufus and the tea towel do come into the flashback scenes and are in some of the stories set prior to the journey to Minas Tirith. Like most cats, Rufus is just 'there' and part of the family. I somehow thought that Arwen might look upon Galadriel as her mother, having lost Celebrian long before, and as she spent a lot of time in Lothlorien. Just one of my little quirks. :-)) The word 'piffle' is still fairly common in Britain and you're right, it does sound 'hobbity.' Hope you enjoy the rest of the tale. | |

| Oh *my*!! This had me crying!! Both bittersweet at the beginning and then tears from laughing too much. I wish I could see all of them singing "Nineteen Nights in Nobottle"...Especially the Twins and Legolas!! I do believe our four favourite hobbits just corrupted Gondorian society as we know it. Hee!! :oD Oh and then for the Ladies to realize just how powerful payback could be to their men and friends. Arwen is indeed a wicked, wicked woman. I would have done the same thing!! LOL!!
