The Grey at the End of the World  by jodancingtree 4 Review(s)

Oh, you've got the hairs standing up already. It's not hard to imagine how Logi will find trouble, unless of course it finds him first.

I have never mentioned how much I like the detail you add in your footnotes. You capture a bit of realism through them that is very satisfying.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Wow, Jo, I am so excited to see a new story featuring Canohando and Malawen even if it is going to be dark!

I was sad to read of the changes to the Shire and Logi sounds like he is going to be a problem but I cannot wait to see how this story will continue.

Please update soon!

Author Reply: I'm so glad you're ready to welcome Canohando and Malawen back, even in a not-at-all-a-feel-good story. I guess all good things have to come to an end, even Canohando's protection of the Shire - for Tolkien said that these days, Hobbits live hidden, secret lives. And Logi is - no question- a problem. Buckle your seatbelt, it's going to be a wild ride.

Why haven't you received more reviews? This is an excellent story and I agree with the previous reviewer that you make your characters live. Wonderful story so far, well written and well thought out. I will await more with anticipation.

Author Reply: Thank you, Shemyaza! I'm so glad you enjoyed it - and I hope to get
more chapters posted in a few days. They're written, just need a bit of
re-write. Thank you for reviewing - I see the "hits" sometimes and chew
my nails. (Someone's reading, but do they like it? hate it? what?) No,
I'm not paranoid, not at all...

Jo, how wonderful, you are back! These characters must live in your head because they certainly live on the page. But that Logi is a worry, so orcish I suppose he will inherit his grandfather's immortality along with his nature.
Great stuff. More more soon, please.
Rose.

Author Reply: Hi Rose! Oh, it's nice to see an old friend dropping in to read and review - thanks! Yeah, Logi is Orc to the bone, and immortal. Kinda fun, writing a juvenile Orc - I'm glad he comes alive for you. More soon, I hope.
