| My! so poignant! Osta and Canohando facing the loss of their respective favourite children, one betraying the other...how tragic, and their grief was very well portrayed! "May Frodo and Arwen take him by the hand.." I liked that. Wow. Canohando knows how an orc thinks and behaves. Osta does not. BAttle shall not suffice...I'm fearing this shall turn into a greek tragedy! (Don't mind at all, I love them and the sense of impending, unavoidable doom! :-) Great, great job. btw, I loved that sentence in the summary "hope shines brightest when the night is dark" So damned true! Author Reply: I'm glad you're up for tragedy, perelleth, because this tale is pretty tragic. And yet - in Tolkien's world (and I venture to think in ours) there still is always hope. jo | |

| I like Osta and his restraining influence on Canohando and Malawen. Of course he still wants Logi dead, but his reaction is probably the norm for any society. My favorite part though was Canohando's benediction: May Frodo and Arwen take him by the hand, wherever he is, and lead him into peace. After so long a time to still measure blessing by his long lost friends. I'm very interested in seeing where you take this. Excellent work! Author Reply: Thanks, Calime!
