Sweet!! I love it. So poignant. cheers Armariel~~~~{~@ Author Reply: That ending sort of sneaked its way in - and here I thought I was just writing a bit of fluff! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you! :)

Lovely! I hope that they do all have names. Makes things more interesting, doesn't it? Author Reply: It certainly does! And thank you for reading! :)

This one is a sad one, and very gentle. Thank you for it. Author Reply: Thank you, Larner. I'm so glad that you found it "gentle." I hoped that would come across. :)

Poor Merry. He's a born worrier, but if he's reduced to numbering stars, he's in a real state. (Is he in Minas Tirith? If he is, he should grab Faramir. Bet he could name them. And provide a star chart.) Author Reply: Well, when I wrote this I envisioned it taking place in Minas Tirith. However, it probably could also take place when Gandalf takes Pippin away after the palantir incident. I'll leave it open for interpretation :) Thanks for reading! :)

O, my! How terrible sweet and just plain...adorable! O... this really pulled the heart strings. What a beautiful little scene you created with little Pippin and Merry looking up into the night sky. I could see it perfectly. What a wonderful and endearing picture I really liked this a lot. Great job :) Author Reply: Thanks so much, Saoirse! Your comments are just so wonderful. I'm very glad that you enjoyed this! :)

Cute, but when is this, exactly? Because if it's during the Quest, couldn't they still have a chance to ask? Author Reply: Thanks! The last part takes place when Merry is left behind in Minas Tirith and Pippin goes off to battle. In my mind, Merry is wondering if any of them, and Middle-earth itself, will survive.
