'Eternity will be tasteless and very, very boring.'!! Bwahahaha! Good old Gandalf! Good grief, now I shall have to make sure I have mushrooms tomorrow after reading all those recipes.

Lovely, Werecat! I like what you did with the mushrooms. I am afraid I cannot appreciate them - too much time spent studying the Gür-carab, but it is neat to think that many cultures consider tham a delicacy. I like your Boromir too; very playful. Author Reply: Hi, Nilmandra, and thanks for reading! I understand why you don't find mushrooms appealing, but that's fine with me (more for me, heh). And I'm glad you liked my Boromir; I had great fun writing him. Mews, Werecat

O...mmMMmmm... all those recipes *do* sound delicious. I have developed a yearning for mushrooms myself while reading this, so I think I'll go whip something up! My mouth is watering from Sam's description.... I think you characterized Aragorn perfectly in this. Very good job. Thank you for this lovely (delicious) story, and I hope your diet goes well! Author Reply: Hi, Saoirse, and thanks for reading. Have a great mushroom meal, hehe!

Thanks Werecat! I love a good Fellowship story. I'm glad that Bill got a treat as well. Author Reply: Hi, Alawa, and thanks for reading. I'm glad you liked it. How could I leave poor Bill out? He's such a character!

That was nice! I thought it made a really beautiful interlude. It has also made me hungry:o Author Reply: Thanks, hon! I'm glad you liked it. Mushroom cakes, anyone?

Hey, Werecat! I, too, read this over at HASA and was thrilled to find out you wrote it (I did not guess as such since it was filled with canon characters.) I really enjoyed seeing the Fellowship enjoying a bit of comaraderie and quiet time to dispel their worries and weariness. Author Reply: Hi, Meckinock! Thanks for reading! LOL, I guess it's very unusual of me to write stories without *any* original character in it. The typos didn't give you a clue? ;) Thanks again, Werecat

Very funny source of inspiration that I can totally empathize on *snicker* Heavens, now *I* want some mushrooms (which I do love as well). Wonderfully written; I particularly liked Aragorn's bittersweet reminiscence. Author Reply: Hi, Lackwit, and thanks for reading! Always good to hear from another mushroom enthousiast, lol! This was great. A nice fill story that ties the Fellowship closer. And now I'm really looking forward to the portobello I bought! I think I will roast it with garlic and olive oil C Author Reply: Heh, I too had mushroom cravings after I wrote that! Thanks for reading, Christina!

Lovely. Although Legolas is deprived - no mushrooms in Mirkwood? I should think they could set up a mushroom farm in the cellars that open onto the river. Bilbo would have seen the potential. Some hobbit should suggest it. Merry and Pippin make good foragers. Author Reply: Thanks, Bodkin! The mushroom farm is a VERY good idea, one that certainly deserves its own story. Thanks for reading, Werecat

I read this at HASA but had to tell you again how much I enjoyed it. I thought this short scene showed so much about the Fellowship and the cultures they came from. Author Reply: Hi, Daw, and thanks for reading. I'm glad you liked it. :)
