| I'm enjoying this story, Budgie - is it one of your first? I really am enjoying the relationship between Boromir and Pippin. I know others have said it, but your Boromir development is truly bittersweet, because he would have made a good father. Thoughts of him and Aragorn together in the White City, both fathers with numerous "sturdy boys and beautiful girls," make what really happened even more tragic. Meanwhile, however, we can enjoy Boromir and Pippin, and understand better how he could so willingly sacrifice his life for the two youngest hobbits. Now, I have to say... way to go, Pippin! with that slingshot, but EWW!! I mean... the eyes? EWW! It actually almost makes me feel bad for the poor creature, whatever it is. I guess it was truly evil anyway, but it did seem to be driven past caution by the Ring. Another evil to lay at its door. | |
