ohhhh my. what can i say? so few words, and yet you create a world, or such emotion, or simple say It right. "Gandalf –Gandalf?– laughing with joy, a sound like water in a parched land." how more perfect a way to describe Gandalf's laugh, after all sam's been through. He knows real thirst, he knows what parched really feels like, so the words are doubly apt. a true wordsmith, mon Author Reply: Thank you so much! A true wordsmith did write those words, "like water in a parched land", for they are straight from the Professor's pen, snitched by me for the perfect finishing touch to my poor shadow of his genius.

More beautiful word-painting! Loved the rain that "sweetens the strawberries and coaxes the fresh green shoots of new barley from the earth." So vivid and full of color--you must have the box of 102 crayons with the built-in sharpener! Author Reply: Oooh, I loved those! The colors! The names of the colors! Thinking about what could be done with those colors! And as a grown-up, I once bought a set of 100 skeins of embroidery floss, just so I could sit and admire the color and silken texture.

OOOOHHHHH! This is so very, very beautiful--from the End of All Things to the renewal, complete with laughing guardian angel. Author Reply: Thank you, thank you so much - I wrote this quite a while back, and had forgotten it until tonight. "laughing guardian angel" - ooh, I like that! I always love watching Gandalf's joyous, bubbling laughter in the film. Ann

Very lovely, the use of strong images that appeal to all the senses really bring your writing to life. Amazing that you can accomplish it in such a small space. cheers Armariel~~~{~@ Author Reply: Thank you for your kind words! I'm helpless at plots, my dialog is week, but I do seem to have some small descriptive skill, so that's basically what I do. :)
