| I so love the term "kitchen-friends" because, yes, the foodies always gravitate toward the kitchen and find each other. You can imagine Sam and the elven cooks happily comparing various cooking techniques and recipes. "Damn, what is this?" I hear Boromir saying this line. :-) And the happy ending--men belching around the campfire (a nice touch of realism...). Author Reply: Great fun to write! I always say that I don't write hobbits; but Sam has just shown up so many times, there's no point in denying it any more. Even his kids have shown up on my doorstep, wanting their stories told too. Oh yes, that line is most definitely Boromir, no complaints about *him* talking inside my head. | |
