I re-read this story. Please finish it and begin on the Éomer/Lothíriel story.

It has never before occured to me Éomer might have had objections to the marriage between Éowyn and Faramir. After all Faramir as son of Denethor and nephew of Imrahil is of noble birth and now Steward of Gondor and Prince of Ithilien, so it is a fitting match for his sister. So this plot bunny was entirely new to me - and very entertaining. I loved the way how Éomer and Faramir reacted to each other and even more how Merry and Pippin tried to help! It was truly funny to imagine the two men locked up together and how they later plotted together to seek revenge without hurt the Hobbits or arouse too much suspictions under their other companions! Author Reply: Éomer strikes me a bit as the overprotective-older-brother type, which is where the idea came from. I thought he'd be a little shocked at Éowyn's rapid change of heart from her crush on Aragorn to being practically betrothed to Faramir, especially since it all happened within a few weeks while he was off in Mordor. And the thought of those two locked in a tower was too much for me to resist. ;)

What a lovely story. I really enjoyed the suspicion between Eomer and Faramir - and the way the cunning hobbits managed to get them together, even if it wasn't quite in the way they meant. And their revenge was clever - without being too damaging to hobbits. (Though I suspect Aragorn was close to demanding an explanation. Of course, Eomer won't have to compete for Lothiriel's hand in quite the same way - now he and Faramir have managed to become friends. But it would be great to find out! Any chance? Author Reply: Yeah, I suspect Aragorn was getting a bit fed up with all four of them by the end. ;) And yes, there is a chance... I've been toying for quite awhile with writing an Eomer/Lothiriel courtship story. But I'd like to finish the Eowyn/Faramir one I've been writing first, especially since there would probably end up being some overlap in the timeline between that and this story and whatever I would end up writing.
