| The battle scene descriptions are wonderful. Reminds me of Tolkien's way of describing battles. This is such an awesome way to see what it probably would be like in Middle-earth so long after the War of the Ring. Sad to see it turn to this, but it's probably how it would of turned out if Tolkien had written about it. Just because the hobbits get run out of the Shire doesn't mean they don't exist anymore. | As I said before, thanks that Osta is still alive, riding wbefore he could walk! that was great! :-) not to mention Canohando. "Death had been part of the bargain from the beginning, but in spite of that they had been happy here Seems as if he knew that the end is coming. I like this part, when Canohando muses about the past, and dwells upon what he sees as his mistakes...is such a sad moment...I honestly don't believe an arranged marriage would have solved things with this untame lad, but poor Canohando must be trying to find a way to lift some fault from his "failed projet" and place it elsewhere, better over his own shoulders.... Now I'm getting ready for the hope and the redention, although I'm sure that things can -and shall-get even darker. Great story again, for all its despair! Author Reply: Thanks, perelleth! I'm afraid hope is still a ways off, but it will come. And I agree with you - Logi is so wild, he would have broken out one way or another, whether his grandfather provided a wife for him or not.
