| Absolutely beautiful! :) Yes, that is what she would find, and for that I'm glad. You know, I didn't realise how many of these I'd read till this morning when I looked in my inbox. I guess I got carried away, and time passed unheeded. I didn't notice that I *should* be tired till one-thirty in the morning! LOL! I agree with Pippinfan when she called this collection (and your whole page) a library. It is that-there's always something to enjoy, no matter what one fancies at the time! :) God bless, Galadriel Author Reply: Yes, I think so. I know that some people have written AUs where one or more of the other hobbits try to get the Ring, but for me that requires far too big a suspension of disbelief. These four loved one another dearly, any one of them would have died for any of the others, and very nearly did--I can see the Ring wearing them down slowly to the point where they might despair of going on, but I can't see it ever really making any of them abandon Frodo or betray him--ever. It's so fun to see all these reviews--I do enjoy them so much! | |

| Brilliant! I don't know how you always manage to voice the characters so well. This sounds just like Tolkien's Galadriel. And of course, is embued with all of her wisdom. While hobbits as a whole are resistant to the Ring, it is precisely that bond of love for each other that makes it impossible for the Ring to claim any of them. Author Reply: Thank you. I hadn't written Galadriel before; but I just wondered what her thoughts would have been after testing the hobbits--they would have been far more new and strange to her than even Elves were to the hobbits. I'm sure they amazed her. And that bond of love, so very strong, making the Ring's work on them ultimately in vain. | |

| Brilliant! I am becoming quite attached to your drabbles and this one is outstanding. Author Reply: Thank you very much! It's funny, but until I tried one, I never thought I could do a drabble; now I'm enjoying them immensely. In one way they are easier than something longer, as you don't have to worry a lot about such things as plot. In another, they are harder, as you often have to cut parts you really like to get the word count right. | |

| What a wonderful insight from Galadriel's POV! I especially love this line: the strength of a love so natural and so strong that the Shadow will never overcome it, though it may destroy the body Such a beautiful observation, and sadly so true, especially for Frodo. And I love your reference to Sam's low opinion of himself, and how blatantly false it is. It's wonderful that such a great lady can see the deep virtues in those so many of the 'Wise' might consider to be lesser beings. Blessings, Eruanna | |
