Dear Thundera, please finish this someday soon - it's a hoot, and I want to know what happens when Eomer regains his memory - not to mention what more mischief the elven contingent gets up to!

Gimli's trapped in the secret passageways, the twins current plot has just gone out the window, though one of them has another prince that is going to have to be occupied for quite a while, Aragorn is off fuming somewhere, Merry is drunk as all get out, Imrahil is looking for the michief makers, as is Faramir. Lothiel may kill Arwen, while Eowyn is looking for the Prince currently in the twins care, and Legolas still doesn't know that everyone is either in the Citadel or in the Houses of Healing. Please tell me you are still working on this story!!!!!!! I'm absolutely loving it!!!! Later!

I just love this story, but found myself very sorry because it's not finished yet for I can't wait for the rest of it. Just how much more trouble can the pranksters find themselves in? I love reading more of it.

I must say yours is some of the best fan fiction I have ever read. Being new to such fiction, I was very disappointed to find this unfinished! I hope that will change as I would very much like to read the end of the story, as well as Land of Light and Shadows. I am an avid reader & new to the world of LOTR having missed the movies in the theater & having to settle for watching them on a pathetic TV screen! However, such movies moved me to read the books & I have been hooked since as the books are so much better! You have captured the spirit of Tolkein & I thoroughly enjoy your stories. Hope to see up dates! Keep up the good work!

This was hilarious, from beginning to end. Gimli is quite in a fix in the tunnel, though at least he has found his way back to the nursery. I cannot wait to read more about his rescue from that hideous tunnel. But Legolas wasn't bad either. So now he has found Eldarion and managed to convince Elladan to hand him over. Though I wonder how miserable Eldarion will make Legolas' life over the absence of the smelly cheese. But I sincerely hope that Elladan will do something that might push Legolas to reveal the true nature of the tra-la-la-la-lally song. I would really love to hear that tale in full :-) I wonder what Merry will come up with in his drunken state. He must be quite over the top, trying to soothe the floor *vbg*. I don't envy Pippin having to watch him. But I also don't envy Elfhelm. Though his spectacular entrance in the Houses of Healing did warrant some 'attention' (loved the bit about the obtuse healer not catching the threat of his hand straying towards his knife). But being ordered to watch his King and make sure that the Queens of Gondor and Rohan don't rip out each others throats might turn out to become quite interesting ... Author Reply: I'm VERY glad you liked it! Gimli's rescue is going to turn into a strange and very short comedy of errors, but it will ultimately prove very fruitful because it will involve acquiring four allies. As for Legolas...he's not going to need much prompting to reveal more of the song, so just hang on for that. Elfhelm was actually my favorite character in this chapter, in part because of the missed knife communication. He's had a rash of miscommunications, actually, not least of which is the gelding iron. But he'll work everything out in the end. More or less. With help from others.

As usual, I am most pleastantly surprised to receive such a greatly amusing update. Well done! "If Legolas removed himself even further from the land of the sane, it would be upon Gimli's head." This earns a chuckle. And Gimli is the one crying for help... : ) "Elladan looked up at the towering wall of the Third Circle and blinked, deciding that it was a reasonable jump only if one was a Wood-elf who cared nothing for the safety of his own neck." This was a great way to set off that little confrontation. Poor Elladan. He will have some explaining to do when Elrohir finds him. And now Legolas is stuck with Eldarion! Very funny! And now Eowyn is searching for Elfwine! The whole "Prince" Confusion is very well done. Thank you once again for this great chapter. (Although it would have been more amusing if Gondor's minstrels were indeed informed of Rivendell's Lyrical Masterpiece). Cheers and keep writing! Author Reply: Many people accurately guessed that Gimli would be the one in need of rescuing, but in his defense, he DID get him back to the nursery before Legolas. He just can't get in. As for poor Legolas, he's now got his hands full, though not as full as they could be. And he's very aware that discretion is the better part of valor, so that will help in the future. And fear not, for we haven't seen the last of the Tra-la-la-lally song. It will return by the end.
