Well, that's just fantastic. *shakes head* Either he'll give them the slip and they'll have to go looking for him ... or hobbits won't be affected at all. (Probably neither will happen, and I'm on completely the wrong track ... :-P)

Ooo! Ooo! *Celebrates* Frodo Angst! At least a little! *Pumps fist* I don't like to think I'm evil by wanting Frodo to be ill all the time. I just think that I love him so much I have to prove it by making him ill so I can make him better!

I'm finally catching up on my reading. Well done as always. Bones in the Old Forest - a dandy mystery! Good job making use of Scamp's nose, now to get them out of there . . .

Yipes! Without Frodo's help Scamp will probably not come back out with them. Now what will they do? This is getting very exciting. I hope you will be posting more soon.

Well, I'll be a pot of boiled taters if Aragorn actually manages to get the four of them out of the Old Forest as he intends. SOMETHING has to happen, right? Oh, oh, thorny branches scratching Frodo's hands---eeeeee---yes, now he won't want to leave, will he? Oh dear (at least those big rangers can CARRY him off). And of course, this leaves the door open for a little feverish Frodo later, perhaps . . . :D I adore this---especially Aragorn being all protective of Frodo. *melts*

I want to know who the bones belonged to, but I have to agree with Halbarad. EEE! Quick! Get him out! Get him out! *bites nails*

Dear Merry, I love your characterization of him so much. And Frodo is wonderful with his Scamp and his adventurous spirit. You're building the tension really well, and I want to know what's going to happen next. Yuo've got me scared for Frodo.

Oh, hello! My very favorite universe is alive again! I am the biggest Quarantined fan you have. I wrote to you once (you may not remember, amidst all the reviews you get) that I first read it when I was ill, and ended up rereading it many times because of the wonderful angst and comfort, suffering and love, on every page. Even the pages with scary parts. So I'm delighted to visit Q-Aragorn and Q-Frodo again. Aragorn is again that wonderful, mature, masculine, sensitive, strong, awesome Man ---except how did he forget to bring his bandages in his healing pack? This is your same guy who carried "hobbit-sized splints" up Caradhas? You made him depend on Bilbo's handkerchief? A nod to "The Hobbit" ??? Hmmm. What did your mother say about that? But I shouldn't complain, not when I'm enjoying a story this much! You are much more of a Tolkien scholar than I am . . . I was interested in your knowledge of canon as reflected in this phrase: "There are trees which speak,” Aragorn said thoughtfully, “but not all. The Elves awoke them, but the trees in this clearing are young; perhaps only the eldest can speak so that we can understand.” I think that this is very, very true to canon, as far as I understand it. Not all trees spoke, and not all trees woke up. There was no cookie-cutter formula for trees. Tolkien's world was richer, deeper and more varied (and more perilous!) than that. I think that your use of canon as a framework and a springboard for your own imagination is very well done. All that scholarly stuff aside -- what a great plot! Fever, pain, and trouble with a capital T in the future for my beloved blue-eyed hero! My favorite kind of read! Pour it on, girl. No one does Aragorn and Frodo h/c like you. I'm looking forward to the next chapter! Thanks for writing!

Wow!! So Frodo now knows Aragorn isn't just any other Ranger, but the Captain of the Rangers. But, what happens now. Poor Aragorn...I foresee more bruises coming his way from trying to keep Frodo from hurting himself. ;o) This just such a wonderful AU to come and visit in. Can't wait for the next chapter!!
