| OH WOW SONGSPINNER! I had to read the first 3 again to remember this and I'm so glad I did! I LOVE this story and I'm so glad you've added more! The brothership is still strong and I love how you've shown so well how men care for each other. awesome, awesome job, my dear. now bring on the rest! :D Author Reply: Thank you so very much! | Like all your stories, this one seems pitch perfect in characterizing Legolas, Aragorn, Gimli, et al. I agree with Lamiel about the reunion scence - it was sadly missing from the movie. | I just saw these and read them all. I really like your portrayal of Eomer, Legolas and Aragorn and their experiences after the battles, helping each other. I especially liked the last one with the Fellowship searching each other out after the battle. I really wished the films had shown a few of these moments (I liked the reunion around Frodo's bed but I would have liked to see Aragorn and Legolas and Eomer--and the twins, who were completely ignored--regroup). | Thank you for the reunion scene between Legolas and Aragorn! That was one of the things that bothered me most about the film: Legolas' desperate struggle to reach Aragorn was never really acknowledged or given resolution. This scene is exactly what I wanted and didn't get from the movie. I'm glad that you're continuing this story. Author Reply: Wow! Many thanks...that bugged me as well, actually. It was such a wonderful bit of characterization (that made me cringe when people said Legolas didn't show much emotion in the films - had they _noticed_ that set of shots?) that I was waiting for a resolution as well. Just a look of relief would have done it for me, even. Anyhow, it's continuing. Probably somewhat faster as I finish teaching for the school year. :) -Laura | |

| I do like this. There is nothing like shared experience of battle for building bonds that can never be broken. Author Reply: Thank you...and yes, definitely. It's mentioned in the books that Eomer and Aragorn were extremely close after the war, and supported each other in battle and as friends. Certainly nice to hear, but a bit annoying that you don't see much of the buildup to that. -Laura | |
