What a nice change to read about quality time for the Steward's household! A perfectly plausible scene, colorfully and realistically described. I particularly liked your including Imrahil and his son, and the idea of grumpy Denethor enjoying the scene despite his misgivings about homeland security. Author Reply: Thank you! I don't see the Steward's family as disfunctional. Denethor was troubled at the end of his life, but surely he did a good job as Steward for many years.

Thanks for putting my birthday drabble here, Gwynnyd! I loves it, precious! I love the Haradrim AND the House of Hurin, and having it in one drabble is great. Ah, Denethor, smart, wise, powerful, slightly mad, misunderstood by fangirls Denethor, is finally shown as he is. And Elphir, Boromir, Faramir, Finduilas, and Imrahil were fabulous! *huggles them* Namarie! Loremaster Author Reply: Happy Birthday! Glad you enjoyed it! I was so pleased when I realized that I could work in baby Elphir for you as well.

Oh, I loved this. A new & exciting form of entertainment in the White City (or are we in Dol Amroth?) gives us a look into what their lives might normally be like. Is this just the ruling family enjoying this, or is the populace being entertained in a great hall in the lower circles? The knowing glances between Denethor & Imrahil were priceless. I can imagine a conversation in the morning with the people from (Harad, I assume?) and the Steward - the acrobats lobbying for more performances, Denethor encouraging them to move on with heavily veiled threats & a deliciously wicked 'diplomatic' smile. Author Reply: I saw this as a big hall in Minas Tirith, maybe even Merethrond, full of people. I wanted to work in tight ropes and trapeezes but ran out of words. Glad you enjoyed it!
