Hey, I love your story, it's really wonderful! I'm not very good at writing reviews because English isn't my native language so I usually don't leave them but I wanted to ask you where are the chapters 4-25? Are you rewriting them or something? Or is it just my computer being crazy again? I can see only chapters 1-3 and then 26-72. And I think the number of chapters when I first found your story was 73. Am I wrong? And if not where is that chapter? Please, answer me, I'm dying to see how will this story end. And BTW I think that man as noble and honourable as Faramir would really restrain his desires and wait till his wedding night with some things. Author Reply: Oh, sorry, chapters 1 through 25 are rewritten and posted as Chapter One, Two and Three. I'm rewriting all of the pre-Rohan chapters. That's why the number of chapters has changed from 73 to 53. LOL, I was unaware that so many people had strong feelings about Faramir and waiting until his wedding night. I assure you, he is waiting and I apologize if I've offended or something. I really was unaware.

I'm glad we finally got to see Faramir the archer...and a little bit of Faramir the showoff too! I'm glad you wrote that bit from Eomer's POV. He seemed suitably impressed! :) I think I've said before that I love your Eomer. I was very touched by Eomer's sudden realization of how lonely his life is. [Enter Lothiriel. Stage Left]. Author Reply: Hee! I think I'm in love with Faramir the show-off. He might have to do more of that to impress the Rohirrim. Wow, this story seems so short now to me, so near to the end even though I know I have a long way to go. I can't wait for Lothiriel and Eomer to meet. :)

Ah Faramir, my Robin Hood! It's good to see you again. I always had this image in my head of Faramir as being like Robin, out in the forest with his bow and wearing Licoln green. The archery scene was great. I kept expecting Faramir to spilt an apponent's arrow in half and Prince John to be cursing from the side lines. Excellent! The dancing lesson scene was very well done. I could completely imagine the two of them as they danced. The romance between them was lovely. Thanks! :) I'm a bit worried about what happened with Eowyn at the river. It better not be Grima the scum bag! I'd hate to see her get scared after she's finally beginning to heal. However, the bit with the boys as her guards was very cute. I also liked the bit with Eomer and Faramir at the table. I'm hoping for some real bonding between those two once Eowyn leaves. Faramir's got to stop letting Eomer know when he accidentally reads his mind! It's not of the good. Poor Faramir. I think he wants to stay to bond with his new "family" ie Eomer. I suspect this is the free-est Faramir's been in many years and he's learning to enjoy it. I hope Eomer listen's to him when he speaks of danger. Gandalf wasn't one for kidding around. Thanks for the quick update and good luck with all the new foals. I'm so jealous of you getting to be with all of them. Author Reply: I loved writing that...I really hoped it wouldn't seem too cheesy. I actually have to confess I played an online archery game that had realistic way to use the necessary angles and force for a while just to see what Faramir could possibly do and the up and down shot was VERY difficult. Heh, he really didn't know if it would work. But my favorite part was Eowyn running down to Faramir, it was just a wonderful moment. And the other archer simply leaving the field. Ah, the whole thing was great. I think Faramir's reasons for staying are many: fear of his future, love of his freedoms in the Mark, love of the sense of family he now receives from Eomer and Eowyn, and knowing that if Gandalf said something about danger, there would probably be some. Maybe he thinks that he has a part to play in this danger and that if he leaves lives might be lost, things go awry that he could have prevented. That would be a reason for staying, I think. Oh, the foals, they are so cute! I wish my farm would update their website on a regular basis with baby pictures. We just had the fifth born yesterday and it's a colt! So far he looks to be a nice, flashy bay with a very sweet, intelligent eye. That's the fourth colt this season, and lol, that's four too many! Colts are trouble ;)

One other thing; What were Eowyn and Arwen doing while they were away from the guys? You know, before the archery contest? Author Reply: Talking herblore, medicine with some of the women of the Mark. They'll discuss it later. Arwen was correct, Eomer would have been bored senseless. :D

Let's see, where shall I begin? I love the dancing in this chapter; I ended up putting on Irish music to get a proper feel for it all. Faramir is just the sweetest thing. I loved the archery contest; that last shot was really daring, and very well written. And him teaching Eowyn how to dance! That was too cute. What does he need to prove, though? I remember hearing a hint about a fire, so maybe he's staying because that hasn't happened yet? I hope to find out soon! I'm desperately curious to see what the lads asked of Eowyn. I love how she uses them as her guards, and how proper they were with her. I'm curious to learn what was in the bushes, though. Somehow I doubt it was just an animal. Gaer, as always, is a gem. I'm eager to see Halorl again, though-when are we going to get to see him again? I loved the end of the chapter, with the dancing. This is a great story; I can't wait for the next update! Author Reply: Ah, but if I tell about the danger and the fire, it wouldn't be as suspenseful, would it? I think Faramir stays for many reasons, not just one. Maybe because he was warned of the danger he feels it is his responsibility to stay and help, or perhaps that if he does not stay there would be dire consequences. After all, what Eomer considers danger would differ from what Faramir does, wouldn't it? More lads in the next chapter. They're so cute, I can't leave them behind! Halorl comes in fairly soon. If you'll remember, he led Faramir off on his "test" to return to Meduseld, but Halorl didn't ride back to Edoras, he rode in another direction. He had duties and he's near finished with them. he comes back just in time to see how Faramir has fit in and I think his take on it will be a good contrast.

Wow, that was all just great! There really wasn't anyone trying to catch a peek of Eowyn, was there? And poor Eomer.... But Eowyn, making that comment about women not wanting him and him not ever having sons. I know she was being playful, but had she known what he was thinking she would know how utterly cruel that sounded. Faramir was pretty impressive with that bow. You're right...I can't see Eomer ever doing something like that. Though, I'm not quite certain....what is Faramir trying to prove by staying? He says he's not staying for Eowyn's sake... is it because he's free from his own duty for a while, or is it something else? Whether he wins the respect of the Rohirrim or not (Which I would think he would have), what difference would it make in the end? Oh well. Gaer, as always, is classic! But where is Halorl? We haven't seen him in a while. Anyway, good luck with the horses, and I hope you update soon. :) Author Reply: I don't think Eowyn realizes just how her brother feels yet. She will, though. Hee, Faramir is great with that bow. That was probably the one thing he was really good at and he knew it. Well, the lack of respect would make a difference every time he visited Rohan, or it could even trickle down to his children. Obviously Faramir is building a strong, close relationship with Eomer and his country. I think that they will go back and forth and stay a while in each other's lands, so it's all very important. Faramir is thinking of the future here. Halorl soon. He's going to show us just how Faramir has changed by the time he comes back into the story. :)

"Faramir was not in charge in the Mark, nor beholden to anything or anyone within its boundaries. In the City that would change drastically, he would be a Prince again with duties and great charges; a Lord called upon daily. And all this with a wife, my sister who will push him still forward in her desire to accomplish things of greatness… he knows that as well. " Good point, that Faramir and Eowyn's relationship might be more difficult when he has heavy responsibilities and can't spend as much time with her. I hope though, that Eowyn won't be a nagging wife - Eomer's thought about her pushing him forward in her desire to do great things has me worried. But this is a great chapter! Happy Faramir and Eowyn dancing and getting closer! And how about that archery display - he shoots, he scores; woo-hooooo! Also, Faramir is learning how to verbally handle Rohirrim insults; which is good. The use of the word "saccharine" seems a bit too modern for my taste, otherwise; this chapter was on point all the way.
