“Pardon me, madam, but I…I need a hat. I mean…not for myself, but f-for a friend. Do you, uh…happen to have any…uh…wizard hats?” LOL! That made me nearly fall off my chair ;-) What a wonderful idea to buy a hat for Gandalf. And as someone said before, this really is very "Pippish" - I like it! Author Reply: Glad you are enjoying it! Hope to have another bit up soon...but I've a gazillion things to do today and I am a perfectionist, so it might be a little while yet! xoxox Armariel~~~{~@

Oh, oh, oh, oh! I am just grinning fit to burst! This is absolutely wonderful! So very *Pippish* if you know what I mean, and I love your OC Mikala! This is beautiful! I got such a chuckle out of this: Well, of course I knew I stood out, seeing as how I was the shortest person in the City now that most of the children had been--what was the word--eviscerated? No, evacuated, that was it--on account of the threat of war. And I knew the kitchen-wenches laughed about my feet. I found this out when Mikala told me she had a pair of shoes she thought might fit me, they being too small for her anymore. I thanked her and declined. If folks laughed about my feet now, just imagine how they’d laugh about me in lasses’ shoes! This story is adorable, and answers the question, what did Pip get up to while they were waiting around to be attacked! Author Reply: So glad you like it! Writing in Pippin's voice is alarmingly easy somehow...it just writes itself! Don't know what THAT reveals about me LOL Yes, the idea of little hobbit set loose in big city was indeed intriguing...there should be ample opportunity for him to get into some kind of merry scrapes......*g* xoxxx Armariel~~~{~@ P.S. I used your nick when I first became a LotR fan about 2 and a half years ago, for a while, until I ran my actual name through an "elf-name generator" and came up with "Armariel" and decided to use that instead...which explains why it shows up on my LotR website!

Love the trying to find the right shade of white, and Pippin being described as adorable by Mikala's friends. Yes, a bit of movieverse has been thrown in, I see. Author Reply: Yes, I was quite amazed at how many shades of white there are a long time ago when I took it upon myself to repaint my bathroom! (Can't remember what the name of the shade I chose was, but I'd describe it as rose-ivory--very pretty *g*) Thanks for reviewing! Tickled pink *hehe* that you like it! xoxoxx Armariel~~~{~@

This is adorable! Omigosh, poor Pippin with his good-intentioned plan that he made so complicated. I think my favorite part (besides all the yummy jelly rolls and meat rolls) is the fact that people respected Pippin because he didn't put on airs or act fancy. I'm really looking forward to more of this story. Author Reply: Thanks bunches! It's always tickled me how helpless guys are with simple domestic details, however competent they might be with machines and things. They might be able to take a computer or a boat motor apart and put it together again as smooth as you please, but when it comes to removing a tag from a new garment, they're totally stymied! LOL Thanks for reviewing...and for supplying the idea *g* xoxox Armariel~~~{~@

And I just thought, too, that you can put a link to your website in the "Link" area of your little bio page. Author Reply: Thought I'd already done that...well, it's done now! Thanks!

This was great! Wonderful idea. I love the way you make Pippin's thoughts just like how he speaks and acts. And him trying to get up the nerve to measure Gandalf's head..... oh, I was laughing like crazy. The thought of Gandalf thinking that Pippin was trying to strangle him was hilarious. And I love how you incorperate Mikala from your other story into this, also. Hope there's more soon! Author Reply: Thank you! Yes, that little whipper-snapper just keeps creeping up on me somehow, LOL Hard to keep her under control sometimes! Glad you think I captured Pippin's voice. There should be another bit soon.
