| And i love this little bit: “I’m sorry,” Merry repeated, angrily wiping away his tears. “You should be resting and trying to get well again, and not fussing over me.” “How can I rest when I’m worried about you?” Pippin asked simply. Merry smiled a little at that, and dropped a kiss on his cousin’s forehead. So true. oh so Love. :) Yes indeed, how can Pippin rest with such a horrific nightmare that was so vivid and scared Pippin? awwwww hobbitses~~! ::hugsbothPippinand Merry:: Author Reply: This is why both of them need to be happy and healthy, or else the other will be miserable! *squishes into the group hug* :) | |

| I love Merry's nightmare... that was so unexpected since... well i thought there would be more Pippin healing because i know Pippin is so in need of more care. awww Pippin! But yeah, Merry angst is one of my faves and the nightmare--ooo creepy indeed!!! I so love it. So cool for Pippin's stars to help Merry. :) Slowly, he grew confident that Pippin would recover, and Frodo and Sam as well, and that they would return home to the Shire at last, whole and healthy and together. I wish all were whole and healthy ....but that's a nice event to imagine. I so wish Frodo would've stayed healthy and whole but there are some wounds that go too deep. :( but yes, this chapter,..... definitely warrants rereading... i just love the nightmare so very much. >=) Author Reply: Merry's nightmare came from a bunny Marigold sent me. It was so much fun to write another dream-state, and a much creepier one than Pippin's in chapter two. The Black Breath is definitely something interesting to explore. Yes Pippin is in need of comfort and so is Merry. It must have been so difficult for Merry to be the only conscious hobbit and trying to deal with that all the while he is healing from his own injuries. As you said, I wish all the hobbits were whole all the time. Thank you for reading! | |

| *long-drawn-out-happy sigh* Oh, my dear, this is simply beautiul! I continue to adore this story, and am somewhat dismayed to see that the next chapter will be the last. I'm very much looking forward to it, but fully expect you to start right on another as soon as it is posted. (Got to feed the monkey, you know) Again, bravo on a job very well done! | (Merry grinned as he carefully settled himself more comfortably beside his cousin. “I’m content enough to leave the stars to you, Pippin. It gives me peace of mind to know that you’re being watched over even when I can’t be with you.” His smile wavered, and he looked troubled again.) I loved that part about the stars watching over Pippin. This is a terrific story and I will be sorry to see it end. I am getting quite attached to Pippin's stars and I am glad that they have gotten a second story. Maybe they should be continuing characters. I keep wondering if they might show up on their own after Gandalf has left for the Grey Havens. Surely the stars don't go with him, or do they? Author Reply: Are you trying to spring some plot bunnies on me, GW? :D Gandalf will address the issue of the stars in the final chapter. As for more stories, I'm working on something now that is set in this Star-verse (though not exactly about the stars) and Marigold says that she has more bunnies for me when I have the time. So hopefully there will be more eventually. I definitely want to continue, since this was the most fun I ever had in writing a story :) Anyway, I'm so happy that you're enjoying this and thank you very much for leaving me such lovely comments! :) | |

| That was certainly one vivid dream Merry had. How scary. The imagery in this story is so sweet. I admit that it is far-fetched, but it is so adorable. And, no, your last chapter didn't bring back bad memories. I was just impressed that you would add that detail. I was impressed. Yes, I do have first-hand experience. But the memory isn't bad this many years later.:) Thanks. Connie B. Author Reply: Thank you, Connie! In my mind I see this story and "Stars and Sniffles" as oart of a Star-verse. They're not quite an AU but also not quite canon so I think they should have a universe of their own where all the star related events are reasonable :) | |

Lovely..I love the sequence of the dream Merry had of the wraith.Very descriptive. Merry's poor arm,I hope it gets better... Please continue Author Reply: Thanks so much! | This is just lovely. What a horrible and frightening dream for Merry, to still be burdened with the Shadow, and how wonderful of Pippin to think of sharing his stars! But of course, that's Pippin, and there's nothing he wouldn't do for his Merry... Author Reply: Yes, Merry and Pippin really would do anything for each other, and I'm sure Pippin quite enjoyed the fact that he was the one to take charge and look after Merry.
