Yes, he stands there waiting even now to return the heart she gave him, the light of life she gifted to him, to bring her to the delight that awaits those whose frames are mortal.

"'Home, Legolas,' she sighs. My sorrow is such that I cannot speak. Undomiel, sister of my heart! I know it is not Rivendell, nor even Lothlorien that you sigh for, but that far place beyond the world where all mortal things must go, where you fear to tread, where your love stands in the light, waiting." This was heartbreaking and very well written. I don't think I've read anywhere this treatment of Arwen's plight, that she should fear the thing that must be so unnatural to her, and yet it is what she must face to be reunited with Aragorn. Very sad and beautiful. ~TF
