Lovely interlude, and a good vision of the early childhood of our favorite young Hobbit. Thanks for the story. Author Reply: Thank you so much for reading this story. I'm very happy you enjoyed it. You know, in fact, there was no foreshadowing planed but you are the second one to tell me you see foreshadowing. And Balin has certainly learned something about young hobbits... and, I guess, so has Gandalf :) Thanks again!

*laugh* Great ending! I loved how they had to convince Primula everything was ok, and the comment about who Frodo got his talkative nature from... I also liked Frodo climbing on Gandalfs lap to say goodbye to him *cute* Author Reply: Yep, Primula and Frodo have a lot in common :) I'm very happy you liked it. I guess, I will miss young Frodo.

Drogo smiled contently, looking at his wife. "See, I told you that there was nothing to worry about when he is with Bilbo. The old hobbit loves him and looks after him as well as we would - even if there are dwarves and wizards." Dwarves and wizards will play an important role in Frodo's later life. It's as if Drogo had foresawn, what would happen in the future. Anyway, I just like stories where little Frodo is happy. Things will change rapidly- you know, what I mean ;-) And, of course, no chapter without tadpoles. I've waited for the tadpoles ;-) Thank you! Author Reply: The tadpoles won't let go of me either. I think one day there might be another short tadpole-story with wee!Frodo :) Glad you enjoyed it!

What a cute ending to this lovely little story! I can sympathize with poor overprotective Primula, LOL! What mother wouldn't be overprotective, with such a darling as wee!Frodo? Thank you for such a sweet story, that helps to explain the later bonds of love between Bilbo and Frodo. Author Reply: I wouldn't let wee!Frodo out of my eye. :) Thanks a lot for reading, Dreamflower!

He was sitting on Bilbo's lap, head resting against his uncle's breast, warm arms wrapped about him, holding him, protecting him. How I love snuggly moments like that, and happy, loved Frodo. What a wonderful story, Lily! I enjoyed every bit of it. Author Reply: Thanks a lot, Janet!

Gandalf must have nerves of steel to resist Frodo's plea to stay a bit longer. And it's just as well Primula ends up thinking that Frodo is all right in Bilbo's care, because . . . Author Reply: Nerves of steel or pressing news from outside the Shire. At least Primula already saw how well Bilbo could and will care for Frodo.
